MSI MAG A850GS 850W 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular Power Supply

The MSI MAG A850GS 850W 80+ Gold is a next-generation, high-performance power supply unit engineered specifically to deliver steady, ultra-clean, and high-efficiency power to high-end gaming desktop setups and heavy-duty workstation systems. Built to fully comply with modern PCIe 5.0 and ATX 3.0/3.1 standards, this robust 850-watt power supply provides a future-proof electrical foundation capable of handling extreme transient power spikes from high-TDP graphics cards and multi-threaded desktop processors with total stability.

Featuring official 80 PLUS Gold energy certification, an advanced DC-to-DC converter design, and a full-bridge LLC resonant topology, the MAG A850GS ensures minimal energy loss and low heat output even during extended high-load computing sessions. Housed in a compact, space-saving chassis with a fully modular cable layout, it integrates a high-static pressure 120mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) cooling fan with Zero RPM fan mode for whisper-quiet thermal performance. Packed with a native 16-pin 12V-2×6 / 12VHPWR connector and industrial-grade electrical safeguards, the MSI MAG A850GS 850W delivers the raw power, flexibility, and safety required for modern gaming PCs.

Native PCIe 5.0 & ATX 3.0 / 3.1 Standard Compliance

Native 16-Pin 12V-2×6 Power Connector for High-End Next-Gen Graphics Cards

As modern graphic processing units demand higher power draw and exhibit extreme excursion spikes, power supply standards have evolved. The MSI MAG A850GS is built from the ground up to support modern PCIe 5.0 and ATX 3.0/3.1 specifications, allowing it to sustain total system power excursions up to 2x its rated capacity and 3x GPU power spikes without triggering emergency system shutoffs.

Equipped with a native 12V-2×6 (12VHPWR) 16-pin connector featuring dual-color safety jack indicators, this unit can deliver up to 600W of direct, unthrottled power to high-performance NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-Series and future-generation graphics cards using a single, clean cable without requiring awkward adapter dongles.

80 PLUS Gold Certified Energy Conversion Efficiency

Lower Operating Heat Output, Reduced Energy Consumption, and High Electrical Stability

Energy efficiency is paramount for long-term hardware health and low electricity bills. The MSI MAG A850GS carries official 80 PLUS Gold certification, guaranteeing up to 90% operational energy efficiency under standard 50% system loads. This high conversion rating ensures that less AC electricity drawn from the wall is wasted as excess ambient heat inside your computer case.

By combining high-efficiency DC-to-DC module design with a solid LLC resonant half-bridge topology, the power supply provides exceptionally tight voltage regulation, minimal ripple noise, and consistent electrical delivery across all power rails under demanding gaming and rendering workloads.

Fully Modular Cable Management Design & Compact Form Factor

Simplified Cable Routing, Unrestricted Airflow, and Wide Chassis Compatibility

Building and organizing your custom PC build is effortless with the MAG A850GS full modularity. Every cable—including the main 24-pin ATX, CPU EPS power lines, PCIe cables, and SATA power connectors—is completely detachable. You only connect the precise cables your build requires, eliminating internal cable clutter and promoting clean, unobstructed chassis airflow across surrounding hardware.

Furthermore, the unit features a shortened 140mm compact chassis depth, allowing ample space for cable management behind motherboard trays and ensuring easy installation in compact Micro-ATX and Mid-Tower PC cases.

Quiet FDB Cooling Fan with Zero RPM Mode & Full Industrial Safeguards

Silent Operational Acoustics alongside Comprehensive Industrial-Grade Electrical Defense

Thermal management is handled by a premium 120mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) cooling fan, chosen for its low acoustic profile, low vibration, and extended operating lifespan. The power supply includes a dedicated Zero Fan button on the rear panel; when engaged, the fan completely stops spinning during low-to-medium thermal loads (below 40% load), offering completely silent, 0dB acoustic performance during light desktop tasks.

To protect your high-end system components against electrical hazards, the unit is reinforced with a complete suite of industrial-grade electrical protections, including Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Over Power Protection (OPP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), and Over Temperature Protection (OTP).
